Not being in the habit of googling myself, I only today discovered by chance that, almost two years ago, the Loony Left site democrats.com put me on its list of “corporate front groups”. Here’s what they had to say:
Corporate Propaganda Watch! Democrat-bashing 'Stromata' Website Fabricated by Corporate Lobbyist
Stromata, disguised as an intellectual/literary site (complete with science fiction links) is in fact a corporate propaganda front. Its creator, Tom Veal, makes his living as an ERISA toady, which lobbies Congress on behalf of corporate employers). Little wonder then that Veal’s “intellectual” exercises are devoted to bashing Democrats, Bill Clinton and Tom Daschle in particular, and in pleading a case FOR those poor, misunderstood CEOs at Enron and Worldcom. Worse yet, this guy appears to have an agreement with google.com – they have flooded the search engine with SCORES of links to Stromata – the kind of link spreading google only does for a very high price, and not by chance. We bet Stromata stands for Self-righteous Tireseome [sic] Rightwing Old Man’s Arrogant Tirades & Accusations.
Tirades and accusations are an area where democrats.com’s expertise far surpasses my own. And I will gladly sell my secret of How To Flood the Search Engine With SCORES of Links To YOUR Website to anyone who deposits $999.95 into my PayPal account. As a come-on, I’ll give you the first secret for free: Find a thin-skinned group of Far Lefties, then post something like this or this.
And “science fiction links” are the indicia of “an intellectual/literary site”. I like that!
Let me note in closing that neither Instapundit nor Little Green Footballs has ever been named as an official democrats.com-designated “Corporate Front Group”. Eat your hearts out, Glenn and Charles!
