An e-mail from a friend:
On election night, I was in Hong Kong (where it was locally already Wed, morning) getting ready to fly back to the US. The outcome was still unknown as I was watching CNN at an airport lounge. A fellow sitting a few seats down blurted out that if Bush won he’d rather stay in China and live under the communists that come back to America. I replied that was the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard. That no matter who won, living in the US was a hundred times better than living in China. I then predicted that Kerry would lose because it was well known that too many Democrats are just one step away from turning on their country and thus cannot be trusted. I then stalked off to my gate.
